US tech giant Microsoft acquired Israeli based cloud monitoring startup Cloudyn around $80million.According to the report by Calcalist-local Israeli Publication-the deal worth between $50-$70 million. The deal between Microsoft & Cloudyn has been officially announced through Microsoft’s blog By Jeremy Winter-Director of Program Management,Azure Security and Operations Management.
“As customer grow their cloud usage across many projects,it can be challenging to gain visibility and understand costs for existing projects, to optimize those investments and to project future usage.
Cloudyn customers have been able to optimize their cloud service usage and costs through automated monitoring,analytics and cost allocation. Cloudyn capabilities will be incorporated into our product portfolio that offers the industry’s broadest set of cloud management,security and governance solutions”-said Jeremy Winter in a news release
Cloudyn is a Israeli based Cloud monitoring startup ,founded in 2012.Cloudyn’s software-as-a-service,shortly called SAAS,platform which helps companies to monitoring their cloud cost with the help of optimization tools. Cloudyn also provides analytics,governance and optimization technologies for multi-cloud deployments.
Cloudyn supports major cloud computing vendors such as Microsoft,Amazon,Google,VMware,Dell,Scalr and OpenStack.
The major products of Cloudyn’s are
1)Cloudyn Enterprise Edition:It is a tool developed by Cloudyn that provides cloud usage and costs.
