Lenovo owned Moto Z reportedly has started getting latest version Android 7.1.1 Nougat update. Motorola is usually consistent with sending software updates to its smartphones. However,the latest updates currently rolling out for the users of Indonesia and Hong Kong. The 7.1.1 update comes with the newer version NPL26.118-20. Moto is expected to widen the rollout in the coming weeks
Moto Z was the first modular smartphone by Lenovo that was launched last year with Snapdragon 820 Soc coupled with 4GB of RAM. The device was a massive hit among premium buyers. Initially the phone came with Marshmallow 6.0 update. The phone comes with choices of 32GB and 64GB of storage.
The Android 7.1.1 have some cool features like multitasking, app shortcuts etc. Users can also send GIFs directly from keyboard on supported Google apps including Hangout,Google Duo and Google Allo.
Even though, the update is being rolled out in Hong Kong and Indonesia,it will take some more time before all the Moto Z devices in the above-mentioned countries get updated to Android 7.1.1.
Users can check for the update by manually by going to Settings → About Phone → Software Updates.
Motorola didn’t say anything about the release of Android 7.1.1 to other country users of Moto Z. However,we will get to hear something on this matter soon.
